A friend and I rent four acres in Somerset for our horses.  As rented land it’s been through several owners, many uses and despite a glorious view, the last owners gave it up after years of trying to make it a self-sufficient plot, so there was a slight unsettled sadness rumbling around.  Carey came and worked her skills – much to the delight of the horses who could clearly sense the changes and followed her around intrigued – and the whole feel of the land is so different,  even a frequent visitor (who had no idea why Carey was coming but knew she was booked) remarked at how much more peaceful it felt.   Thank you Carey.  [2017]

I wasn’t sure what house balancing was,  but if it was going to fix the things falling off the wall, the feeling that I was being watched while eating supper, or someone was in the room as I got into bed, then it was for me.

Carey is a straight talking, down to earth woman, tried and tested in her former career for her observation skills. She is creative and curious. She has also been trained by one of the best.

All she asked for was a plan of my house. After a few hours of doing her magic and having a few chats my house had completely changed.

It felt as if a cool breeze had blown through it. It was again comfortable and welcoming. So hospitable that the viewers who came when I put it on the market mentioned it themselves. Not only that but they bought the house.

Having the house cleared made such a difference –   I’d been sleeping badly and there was an air of unsettled unhappiness around. Once Carey did her clearing, the house was much calmer, normal and peaceful again – and I’ve slept fine ever since. Knowing something ‘wasn’t right’ in the house was a subtle thing – so subtle that I presumed I must have made it up at first.  What was clear, was that I felt much lighter and more positive as soon as I left the front door….so that prompted me to contact Carey. I sent a plan of the ground floor and she came back within 24 hours, with an assessment, a list of the elements she’d found and the measures she’d taken to clear them. Not all the findings were negative, which was helpful too. As soon as she’d worked on it, the house felt different and my sleep has improved immeasurably – which was the biggest concern, as it was starting to affect daily life. Interestingly, the major negative points on the chart related to where my bed is positioned and the best seat in the kitchen – neither of which I’d mentioned in advance, but where I spend lots of time!

After my little dog Bernard had an accident with a push bike, he wouldn’t come into the house on his own accord and spent most of the day either in the shed or in his bed outside.  Very out of character as he tends to use most rooms and furniture! After a few days of having to physically pick him up to bring him in for the night I contacted Carey to ask if there was anything she could do. I sent the plan of our house and Carey started work on balancing. Her findings were really reassuring and within a few days Bernard started to spend more time in doors and back to his old self, in most rooms and sleeping where he shouldn’t! The house we were moving into belonged to my father-in-law Dave, my husband Gary’s Dad.   He had lived here since 1996 when he moved in with his wife Gail and daughter Amanda. Kev, Gary’s younger brother lived here until he went to university then moved in a couple of times, before eventually leaving around 1999. Gary was living here in 1998 when we got together however, he moved in with me in 1999 when we got married. Interestingly my first encounter with this house was back in 1993 when I split from my first husband. His best mate’s Mum lived in this very house and he lodged here for a short while. I never knew that less than 10 years later I would be spending a lot of time here. Neither was I aware that Gary’s mum would die of breast cancer within 10 years, leaving Dave heartbroken in April 2002 and unable to move on from this devastating experience. Actually Dave did meet a woman and married her in 2005 but it was a very unhappy relationship. His new wife lived in the house for a few years but eventually left with a long drawn out bitter divorce ahead. More tragedy ensued. Dave’s daughter Amanda had married and moved away 3 years after her mum’s death. Then in 2010 she developed breast cancer. In 2017 Dave was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Two months later in 2018 Amanda lost her life to brain cancer. This was possibly the most devastating experience of all for Dave.
In October 2020 Dave died, 2 weeks after we moved into his house to care for him and with a vision to do it up to eventually sell. In almost 20 years no repairs or improvements took place apart from decorating the landing and the bedroom for his new wife. We lived here briefly in 2014 when we were renting our house after a challenging financial period in our lives. It was a fraught and very unhappy experience. I didn’t connect well with the house or my father-in-law’s energy. I yearned for my old house back and couldn’t wait to leave. When we moved back to our own house in 2015 I never expected to return to Fairswell again and never to live.
Fast forward to July 2020 when we sold our house and were looking for a place to rent. Dave suggested rather than renting that we move in with him. At first I was adamantly ‘No’. However I began to sense that this was what I was being drawn to do. The house had deteriorated more in the last few years. It was dusty, cluttered and had water pouring into the stairs from a leaky roof. That had been the case for at least 5 years, maybe more.
Carey took our house on at the point, just before we moved in last October. She knew nothing of the history at all. She wasn’t aware that Gary’s Mum had even died. She told us about the water not knowing about the leaky roof. Of course we fixed that shortly after moving in. She picked up on the negative authoritarian type male energy of Dave’s – it was very negative and heavy. She also connected with the softer female energy that I believe was Gary’s Mum. Carey negated the heavy energy and assured us that we were ‘right’ to be moving in and all would be well. I would say within days we felt the energy lighten and it’s as if Dave surrendered to the sadness and resentment he had been holding for many years after the death of his wife. Before then this was a happy loving home and was filled with memories of fun, good times, laughter and joy. Shortly after we moved in, Dave left this world to reunite with his wife and daughter. We continue to live here for now, restoring the house itself to its former beauty so that it can be sold on to a new family to enjoy. It is the key to our future. At the time Carey provided reassurance that we were on the ‘right’ path and doing exactly what we were destined to do. Having enjoyed our first Christmas here, we are now about to move out for a new roof and renovations to begin and by next Christmas we intend to be back here for one last family Christmas before we are done here and our work will be complete .

Carey first did a home healing for me five years ago.   I had booked the session as my husband was experiencing a challenging time with his business and as he worked from home, the energy felt heavy and anxious. Immediately she tapped into the issue and gave me clear direction as to the source of the stress. After a few days the house really felt lifted – while the work issues remained, it seemed that the anxiety had dissipated and we as a family were able to step back from the situation and gain more perspective

I recently had another home healing – while there weren’t any major concerns, I booked the session as part of a seasonal Spring declutter. This time Carey pinpointed an area in the home that required work – her insight was fascinating and made so much sense. After she energetically cleared the area I noticed that I felt completely different in myself – more energy and a real desire to cleanse and deep clean the house. The next day we created a big fire pit and years of old unused papers, diaries, documents were burnt and released. The house noticeably feels lighter and more spacious.

I have no doubt that this cleansing was part of the work that Carey did. I would recommend her work wholeheartedly – she is gifted in her work and my home and family have felt the benefits of the work that she does..  [2021]

Thank you Carey, for putting your energy, care and skills into cleansing our new home.   I still marvel at the synchronicity of how it came to be. When I told you we had just bought our rental house and that I wanted it blessed/cleared, I had no idea that you had this gift. You did the work on it whilst we were away for the weekend and we came back home, and all my hanging baskets had sprouted into bloom! There was light throughout the house and the even my young daughter noticed a shift. It’s so fascinating what a difference it made. It really feels like home now, having immigrated to a new country, we are lucky to feel like we have a place called home so soon.

After we dug a trench in our garden to build a wall, my partner and I noticed that our house – which had always been light and welcoming – felt ‘off’ in some way.  As though the electrical ions in the air were charged and confusing. We didn’t connect it to the wall, but we both developed migraines that would come and go, and electrical devices in the house started to flick on and off on their own. The electric blanket and the radio started to switch themselves on somehow. I mentioned this to someone who recommended Cary as someone who could probably help. I sent Carey a floor plan of the ground floor, but interestingly she very quickly identified the wall area in the garden (though I hadn’t mapped out the garden for her, or mentioned the new wall). She also found an area with water problems (that we’d had to have re-tiled 3 times, but I hadn’t told Carey that either) and cleared that for us too. In fact, she identified some large and some minor issues in every part of the house except for the entrance hall – which was the only new bit of the house (again, I hadn’t told Carey that).

Since her clearing of all the negative energies and rebalancing of the house and land, our family and friends have all noticed a change. it’s hard to explain, but everybody recognises it. ‘Problem’ areas of the house are no longer problems, so even financially we’re much better off! I am very glad that I sought Carey’s help and to know she’s on hand if ever another problem does arise. I have no idea how this works, but it does.
